A passion that has lasted over 40 years… 
It was in 1975, in Condé sur Sarthe, in Normandy, that cheese-maker Jean Verrier, drew inspiration from his region’s know-how to create a unique recipe, combining a distinctive flavour and a smooth, creamy texture in a single cheese. Le Rustique Camembert was born!
Made according to a top secret method and perfectly matured thanks to its poplar-wood box that bears the signature of Jean Verrier to this day. Cheeses that stand out in their authentic packaging featuring red and white check Gingham cloth, which has become the emblem of the brand.
